Rajam Paati’s peanut podi was a prime favourite with VS Thatha, and we shared his love for it. Sharp at 7.45 am everyday, Thatha would call us to breakfast. But it was only a ritual summons - the peanut podi exerted a magic pull upon us anyway. Lovingly blended by Paati with peanuts, garlic, and other spices from our kitchen, this crunchy, aromatic podi added novelty to our meals. Every home had molaga podi, but peanut podi was a VS household special! Whether we craved an idli-dosa accompaniment that packed a punch or even something to spice up our curd rice or ghee rice at lunch, this was our podi of choice. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

How to use
- Take the desired amount of powder, mix with a few teaspoons of gingelly oil, coconut oil, or ghee, and serve as a side to idlis/dosas.
- Or simply mix with hot ghee rice or sprinkle over curd rice for a delicious meal.

It's very good
But you need to bring a version taking away chilly powder and instead adding s little bit of pepper for people liking swatik food and for those suffering from acidic condition.
