Description

The soft hissing of the idli cooker signaled breakfast time at the VS household. We would run to the kitchen to see Rajam Paati deftly scooping idlis from their plates. Soon, the steaming idlis would occupy their place next to a dabba of molaga podi - Paati’s delicious blend of sesame seeds, daal, and other spices from our kitchen. We would make a mound of the podi, clear out the centre for gingelly oil, and mix the two carefully. Once this ritual was complete, we would proceed to dig in! The fluffy idlis and crunchy podi made for a heavenly combination. And if it was our lucky day, Paati would surprise us with crisp dosas to polish off the podi. We hope you enjoy this molaga podi as much as we did.

    Directions for use

    Take the desired amount of powder, mix with a few teaspoons of gingelly oil, coconut oil, or ghee, and serve as a side to idlis/dosas.

    Gun Powder

    This time the gun Powder received was of bright colour compared to the previous lots received and this may be due to different quality of mirchi used.
    However, the taste was quite awesome and I gave one packet to my daughter who also loves VS Mani's products .

    Through advertisement came to know about VS Mani, and I love South Indian food, so for try ordered Gun Powder. Once received on same day prepared Idli and taste the Gun Powder. Taste is authentic and love to eat. Will try other items of VD Mani like coffee and other stuff.
